The story: Homer is a high school student with a dream.
He doesn't want to spend his life in his small hometown working in the coal mines like his father.
Homer wants to be an astronaut and go off into space.
Against his fathers' wishes and with some help from a teacher, Homer and his friends build a small rocket ship and perfect launching it.
When they finally get their experiment right, they enter their project into a science fair, which sends them in the right direction for their futures.
