The story: In Los Angeles, the people of the city are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the first comet sighting in many years.
When it does arrive, it ends up being basically the end of the world, as everyone that seen the comet with their own eyes has been either reduced to a pile of dust or a flesh-eating zombie.
The only survivors, a few teenagers, a couple guys from out of town and some genius scientists taking up shop in the desert who had a feeling something of this nature was bound to happen.
