The story: Rocky Dennis is a teen who has been living his whole life with a condition called "lionitis" - which makes his face disfigured because his brain is constantly growing.
This condition will also someday, be the death of him.
Rocky is accepted by many who know him but not fully by some that do not.
Although his life is a bit hard, he has a great attitude and personality toward people, people in his life and his goals for his future.
He gets a summer job at a camp for blind kids and ends up falling in love with a blind girl.
