The story: Police Chief Brody works and lives in the summer vacation community of Amity Island.
When a group of youths has an early-season party on the beach and a girl (a summer dink) goes for a swim at the beach and does not return, Brody suspects there is a shark on the island. He works hard to try and make sure no one else goes for an unsafe swim.
