Dark Side of the Ring : Benoit part 2 (2020)

Made for Viceland, airing on TV March 24th in the US.
Season 2. Episode 2.
The story: When Chris did not show up for his scheduled appearance it was considered totally and completely out of character.
He was a workhorse and never missed a gig.
A wellness call was made to the local police station in the town where Chris resided.
The police got help into Chris's home by a neighbor who mentioned she had not seen anyone come or go from the home in three days.
After gaining access into the home the police reported Chris's death.
No one could believe the news. No one knew what happened, all anyone knew was that Chris was dead.
Quickly the WWE wanted to pay their respects to the hardworking performer/athlete and aired a three-hour tribute show in Chris' honor.
Everyone praised Chris on the show, but no one actually knew the real story.

At least not yet anyway.
Shortly after the show aired the real story came out.
Not only was Chris deceased, but so was his wife Nancy and their 7-year-old son Daniel, and apparently they were all killed by Chris's hand.
No one wanted to believe it and no one could understand why.
But everyone who knew and loved them were devasted.
Vince McMahon, head of WWE  jumped into action again , quickly making public mention that everyone at WWE had made a big mistake honoring a man responsible for such a horrific injustice.
After that, there were strict orders for everyone employed by WWE to make no mention of Chris ever again.
Extremely strict drug testing within WWE was also made the new way of the wrestling world.
After autopsies were done, the causes of death were made public.
Chris had taken his own life in the end, and it was pretty apparent that the whole situation could quite possibly be a result of roid rage.
Steroid use, yes.
But after a former wrestler turned concussion specialist and executive director of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, who had retired from wrestling due to acquiring CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy)  from way too many concussions got the okay to do his testing on Chris' brain, the matter-of-fact proof of what caused his personality change and his deep descent into murder really explained a lot.
