The story : Andy is a quiet , shy young man who lives with his disconnected father.
Andy's mom has been in a mental institution for as long as he remembers and he longs to see her once again.
Unexpectedly Andy loses his father and now he is completely alone.
While out one day Andy is approached by Dr. Wallace Fiennes , who claims to have known his father and his mother.
He then invites Andy to go on a trip he has been planning with him and assist in his work.
With nothing left to lose , Andy goes along mostly because the Dr. knew his mother.
Andy learns that Dr. Fiennes is a lobotomist who has perfected his operation and is traveling to mental institutions , teaching other doctors his technique while also suggesting patients receive the surgery.
