Dracula was created in 1897 by writer Bram Stoker.
In 1922 , Nosferatu was the first German film adaptation of a vampire.
He represented war.
1931 , Bela Lugosi was Dracula in the first American adaptation which came out at the beginning of the great depression.
Three decades later , in 1958  , Christopher Lee became Dracula...
Since then there have been many vampires to be seen on the big screen.
