The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996)

Filmed entirely in New York.
The story : Gregory is a professor at Columbia.
He has been struggling with the loss of his girlfriend and decides to put an add in the personals looking for a new one.
Rose is also a professor at Columbia but does not know Gregory.
Her sister has answered Gregory's add for her and as it turns out , Rose is really happy about the meeting.
Gregory and Rose begin seeing each other exclusively but they are more like really good friends than lovers.
When Gregory asks Rose to marry him , she believes she can handle the situation which Gregory doesn't want to change , so she accepts.
But Rose accepted Gregory's proposal because she's in-love with him , not exactly just for companionship.
