The story: An American car manufacturer company in a small blue-collared town has been closed down for quite some time.
Hunt Stevenson is one of the men that lost his job due to the company closing.
He takes it upon himself to travel to Japan after getting word that a Japanese company may buy and re-open the car business.
His efforts are rewarded when indeed the Japanese buy the company and everyone gets a job back.
But now there is another problem when no one is happy because things aren't what any of them are used to.
It's up to Hunt once again to try and make things right for everyone, this time working along with the new executive manager.
