The story: Owen is a 12-year-old boy, living with his mother who is separated from his father.
Owen is lonely, bullied, confused, and in great need of compassionate guidance - which he can't seem to get from either of his parents.
He befriends a strange 12-year-old girl, who just doesn't want to be his friend.
But the two grow on each other in time and come to be the greatest of friends.
