This is based on a true story, the memoirs taken from the book, written by founding Runaway member/movie actress Cherie Currie.

The story: In the mid-70s, a young girl named Joan at her sites on one mission - to form an all-girl rock and roll band and play out her rock and roll soul.
When Joan met record producer Kim Fowley by chance one evening at a club she frequented - everything began to fall into place.
