The story: When young Melissa Compton gets all messed up due to her dealer boyfriend giving her something to keep her out of his hair, her father Bill flips out.
After Bill meets up with Melissa's boyfriend, he finds himself at a local bar, having a drink to get his head together.
There, he meets Joe - who has many prejudices and puts many thoughts into Bill's head, turning the two into good friends.
But Joe is also to blame for sending Bill one step too far over the edge.
