This film is based on the true-life story of Daniel E. 'Rudy' Ruettiger.

The story: As a young boy, all Rudy wanted to do was go to Notre Dame college and be a part of their football team.
As an adult, Rudy finds himself struggling to get to that same childhood goal.
Hard work, never giving up and with the odds against him, he finds himself going to school at his beloved Notre Dame and even playing football on their famed team in 1976.
