The story: Members of a family en-route to Los Angeles decide to take a scenic detour through the desert instead of staying on the clear highway.
When the family runs into some vehicle troubles, almost dies in the process and becomes stranded - everything begins to look grim.
What the family doesn't realize is they have stumbled into forbidden territory, basically owned by a family of insane and revengeful maniacs that will stop at nothing to fix who they suspect is responsible for all their bad misfortune - which excludes no one.
