Hostel ; Eli Roth's (2005)

originally posted on AOL Blogs, Sunday, May 14, 2006

This film was made due in large part to true events that were happening in another part of the world which the director/writer/producer of this film was inspired to make this film somewhat based on, after finding his initial idea to document the actual scenario to be far too dangerous to make into a film.
Released January 6th in the US.
Filmed in the Czech Republic and Germany
The story: Three American friends vacationing in Amsterdam are on a mission - to have as much fun as possible and find and meet as many beautiful women as possible.
The friends get locked out of the hostel they are staying at because when they arrive to settle in for the night it is after hours.
When they can't make their entrance in the hostel and are still standing out in the street, they become loud and annoying.
They are heard by a seemingly friendly inhabitant of the hostel who allows the friends into his room.
The friends fill the man in on their vacation plans and he assures them if they go on to the Czech Republic district they cannot go wrong in their mission.
So the friends take the man's advice and the next morning they take a train into the Czech Republic.
At first, everything seems amazing, new and fun for the friends but soon they find that them being there is about much more than money or fun.
