The story: A looking-for-work New York actress takes a screen test for a starring role in what she has been told, will be a major motion picture.
She has to drive into the countryside during the dead of winter and stay overnight because the filming location is far away and to make sure that she is 'right for the part'.
Later to find out, the whole thing was a demented plot of the so-called film-maker, using the helpless actress to portray a role in his demented film.
