The story : Teenager Dot has just lost her father , the only blood guardian she had left in the world.
Her Godparents , whom she hasn't seen since she was 7 , decide it is best for them to take Dot in.
Godparents have a snooty daughter about Dot's age that doesn't want to have anything to do with Dot and pretty much holds its against her parents that she's now living with them.
Basically no one wants to be bothered by Dot as she is quiet and keeps to herself , playing the role of dumb and deaf.
But Dot's new home is a messed up one , where her Godmother is constantly zonked out on prescription pills , her Godfather is a major messed-up-in-the-head pervert and her new Godsister (is that even a proper title??)has a big secret that's causing her great pain and making her act really evil and bitchy.

This instantly set Tom into his rock n roll dream.
Rock and roll was all Tom ever wanted to talk about , never actually having any feel to play it.
Music hypnotized him.
It wasn't until Tom seen The Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan show that everything was finally clear for him.
He was going to play guitar and be a big star.

The story : Young man Jim Baker started out learning many things from a father figure of his. The man was the first to open any health food stores.
As a 12-year-old , Jim was named 'America's strongest boy' and became a Judo Champion.
As a young man , Jim lived through World War 2 , had done hand to hand combat and became a legend in the Hollywood restaurant business.
First Jim opened The Aware Inn Restaurant in 1955. It was the first restaurant to serve natural , healthy food.
He went on to open other restaurants in California , namely The Discovery Inn Restaurant and the Old World Restaurant that became a very popular chain in 1966.
During 1955 , Jim served time in jail for killing two men with his bare hands.
Then he saw himself in jail in 1963 for once again killing.
By 1967 , Jim was 48-years-old. He was a heavy drinker. He was wealthy and he was bored.
Jim met a 19-year-old hippie girl by the name of Dora and the two began "tuning in" to the hippie scene together.
This opened quite the door in Jim's life.
As his restaurants were bringing in much money , Jim was taking it upon himself to use the cash any way he seen fit.
But when his investors found out , they turned around and cut Jim right out of his own businesses.
Now Jim decided he needed to better himself and with that , he opened a new restaurant called 'The Source'.
The Source was quite the popular vegetarian restaurant in San Fransisco. The place brought in beautiful people as well as the famous.
All the young wanted to be there.
This new venue seen the start of yet another beginning for Jim as he began following a guru and doing Kundalini Yoga , which gave him a spiritual awakening.
Quickly thereafter becoming an earthy , spiritual father figure teaching mediation classes to many young people who needed guidance and discipline...beginning Jim's own spiritual family.

The story : It's 1973.
Middle-aged divorce' from New Jersey Hilly Kristal has opened and closed two clubs as well as gone bankrupt.
Hilly hasn't given up on his dream of opening and managing a successful club just yet and while sitting in a small , quiet club on Manhattan's Bowery he decides he wants to give his dream another go.
With the help of his mother , a close friend and newly-made friends , Hilly gets his new club going.
The club , named 'CBGB' for 'county bluegrass blues' gets its first band which does not play any of those types of music.
Later Hilly thinks up the additional title of 'OMFUG' due to the 'different' music styles performed at the club.
All Hilly ever cared about was that the bands were always originals and only played their own music.
When the unknown new bands begin getting signed and Hilly's friends are worried about him and the clubs expenses , Hilly decides he wants to manage a band himself. Namely The Dead Boys. And Hilly believes this will open new doors for him and everyone in his life.

They are told they will get to see many buffalo's , which are actually part of a wildlife preserve.
The kids are really excited about seeing the wild animals.
After just a short time of being at the event , the kids are quickly horrified and disgusted when they witness a gun club taking turns killing the "sitting duck" buffalo for sport.
The kids don't want the buffalo to be shot so , they plan to free them. But at what cost?
