D Barrymore made this film while writing her book about her battle with her addiction(s).
Released sometime in June in the US.
Filmed entirely in Nevada.
The story: Jolene and her dad, Charlie - who are from Los Angeles, are on a road trip across the desert of Nevada when they run into what seems like slight trouble at the time - involving needing more gasoline for their car.
They stop at a gas station that is so conveniently out of gas.
The two meet up with the town's sheriff at a convenient store who sends them in the direction of a nearby trailer park that the sheriff says can either steer them in the right direction for some gas or put them up for the night.
Jolene and Charlie make their way to the trailer park, where they meet some very interesting characters...
Everyone is either overdramatic, introverted or off their rockers!
Once again they encounter the lack of gasoline and end up renting a trailer to stay in until the gas truck arrives into town.
During their stay, Jolene makes some rather odd boyfriends.
Her dad meets a couple of women that are in the same situation as himself and his daughter. The three work together to get some gas and get the heck outta there. , while Jolene keeps getting into bits of trouble.
