The story: Bruce is a normal guy, living with his girlfriend Gracie and his puppy - Sam.
Bruce works for the local channel 7 news in Buffalo, but behind the scenes in a very big way. He feels he is only given the smallest of small issues to report on and therefore he will never be recognized as the next best anchorman.
One day Bruce gets the chance he's been waiting for to report some local news but live which he has never done.
He messes things up on account that his rival, another reporter at the same station gets the job as an anchor and steals Bruces' very clever inspirational words at ironically the exact moment Bruce is to report his live feed.
Bruce ends up getting fired from the channel after he freaks out.
He starts to blame GOD for all his mishaps but also needs a miracle.
To Bruces' surprise, GOD invites him to his office and tells him he is very upset that he has been blaming everything on him.
So GOD tells Bruce that if he feels he can do his job as GOD better than him, he is hired.
From that point on, things are looking up for Bruce and everything starts to happen exactly as planned.
But will Bruce be able to deal with all the pressures of being GOD?
