This film is inspired by and loosely based upon the book ‘Diane Arbus: A Biography’ by Patricia Bosworth.
Diane Arbus was a photographer who mostly photographed people who didn’t fit into society's social standards in some way, shape or form.
Her controversial art inspired many and gained her somewhat of legendary status by the time she committed suicide in 1971 at the age of 48.
Released October 20th in the US.
Filmed in New York and New Jersey.
The story: Mother of two and wife of a fashion photographer, Diane is beginning to feel she is trapped inside her own life and it's getting more and more mundane by the day.
She decides to pick up the camera her husband gave her way back when and start taking photographs on her own instead of being her husband's assistant.
Diane is intrigued by what she has been able to see of her reclusive new neighbor and decides she would like to photograph him.
Getting to know her neighbor, he introduces her into a whole new world for her that she never exactly thought could possibly be accepted. But it is and with the help of Diane herself.
