The story : On April 20 , 2010 a Deepwater Horizon drilling rig which at the time was being leased by British Petroleum AKA BP blew up , killing 11 workers and dumping 200 million gallons of oil into the Gulf of Mexico.
To this day , no one knows for sure what long-term effects this has caused to the environment.
BP has been held responsible over and over again for this tragedy but only seemed to partially take action that show they are concerned about fixing the problem.
The reports have shown that rather than pay money to help fix the problem , BP has spent money on advertising for their own needs.
Oh and the EPA , OSHA and the government? Well how could any of them possibly be to blame??
Many people who have lived most of their lives if not all in Louisiana are still being effected by this horror show.
And the problem is not limited to the waters of Louisiana as it has effected Alabama , Mississippi , Florida and Texas as well.
This disaster has taken away so much from so many people , the numbers are staggering.
Here you will hear from longtime commercial fisherman , seafood company owners , buyers of seafood , residents , activists , marine biologists and scientists - all living in Louisiana , all really concerned that this could not only be the end of seafood as we know it , but a whole new unopened can of health issues.
