Stan Blankenship is Allan Gore and Dale Morrison , Pat Montgomery.
The story : It's 1979 in the small town of Lucas , Texas.
There lives Candy Morrison , wife of Dale and mother of two.
Candy is a church going lady , one who works closely with the children in the church.
Everyone likes Candy and it seems her life couldn't be happier.
But Candy is lonely and bored with her marriage.
Also she has recently found that she is very attracted to her neighbor , also involved in the church and husband of good friend Peggy , Stan.
She decides to tell Stan she's interested in him and the two begin entertaining the idea of having an affair.
They agree that the only rule to their affair will be no emotional ties between them.
But when Stan decides he needs to spend more time at home with his wife and family he tells Candy they shouldn't see each other as much anymore.
Candy tells him that she is okay with them not seeing each other at all anymore and he agrees.
But Candy isn't settling so easily.
She believes her once good friend Peggy is now in the way of her personal happiness.
