The story : Justine is a young women , born into a vegetarian family , who is a new attendee at a veterinary school.
Her parents before her attended the college as well as her older sister , who is currently studying there.
From the get go , things are strange and hectic at the school.
It seems to be a rebellious , party hard type of place where all the new students must go through an initiation.
One of the first tests Justine is subject to is eating a raw animal liver.
She refuses but her sister insists she do it or fail.
The results are less than pleasant for Justine and as time goes on things don't get any less gruesome.
