Hereditary (2018)

The story : Married Annie is an artist who has been working day and night at home.
She has an son Peter and a younger , withdrawn daughter Charlie.
Annie's mom , who Charlie was very close to , just past away.
The family is taking her passing in various different ways but Charlie seems to be effected the most.
When Peter asks to borrow the car to go to a school party , Annie insists he take Charlie along.
Peter willingly takes his little sister along but he only went to the party to get to hang out with a girl from class that he likes.
So Peter ends up disregarding Charlie which is a bad idea.
It seems to Annie her life is falling apart and attempts going to a group meeting for a way of dealing.
There , she meets Joan , a sympathetic and helpful lady that seems to truly understand what Annie is going through.
Annie confides in Joan unknowing that , Joan has been watching her...
