Fyre : The Greatest Party That Never Happened (2019)
Made for Netflix , airing on instant streaming January 18th in the US.
Filming location(s) unknown.
The story : Billy McFarland.
A college dropout but self made business man.
At a young age Billy , along with a friend , came up with the idea of a black , stainless steel credit card called the Magnises...
Much like the black version of the Master Card , The Centurion , The Magnises was marketed as a way to spend lavishly without having the cash to back it up.
Because of its marketing , and the various perks to owning one , Magnises worked...
Soon rapper Ja Rule , also a card holder , wanted to go into business with now very popular and seemingly wealthy Billy McFarland.
That is when the app Fyre appeared.
A musical artist promotion app where if you were throwing some sort of party or gathering , you could easily hire any one of many artists through the app.
During the start up of Fyre , Billy and Ja Rule came up with the idea of creating one of the biggest musical festivals that could be thrown on a private island to the elite and wealthy.
The idea seemed like a brilliant one , even if , day by day the idea became less and less like a realistic one.
But from the beginning all the way to its bitter end , the Fyre festival - along with any one who invested in it , were doomed.
