The story : This season is dedicated to funk music artists as there aren't too many documentaries , if any at all on the genre or its artists.
This time the stories are from people who worked for and with George Clinton , who was born in North Carolina.
Moved to New Jersey as a child and went on to work in the local barbershop.
George became a legend for giving perms when no one else was doing them.
He also sang in an a capella group out of the barbershop but soon took his gig to Motown.
Turned down but not giving up , George continued recreating himself and touring colleges.
His first hit was in 1967 and while constantly touring , George and his band met Timothy Leary which changed their lives.
Georges acts grew larger and more creative for many years that followed.
