The story : Ever since Edith was a child she has believed ghosts are real.
The first time she saw one , it was of her mother right after she past away.
14 years later Edith is a young woman living with and working along side her beloved father.
Edith writes and takes that very seriously.
When she meets a man who appreciates her work she takes an instant liking to him.
But her father doesn't trust the man and attempts paying him off to stay away.
When that doesn't exactly work out and father is murdered , Edith finds she no longer has any living family.
She soon marries the man her father did not trust and moves away to his familys' home , a place they call Crimson Peak.
Although Edith didn't know her new home was in fact Crimson Peak until sometime afterwards , she quite vividly remembers the ghost of her mother warning her of such the place.
When Edith discovers why she was warned , she does her best at saving her own life.
