Santa Claus Is Coming To Town (1970)
Made for TV, airing December 14th in the US.
The story: A baby named Claus is left on the doorstep of mean man Burgermeister Herr Meisterburger, but he tells his henchmen to take the baby away to the orphanage.
In doing so, a mean wind carries the baby up up and away into the mountains of the Whispering Winds.
There, the baby is assisted by the animals, who take it to and leave it on the doorstep of the Kringles, a family of elves.
The Kringles take the baby in and raise it as one of their own.
The Kringles name the baby Kris and teach him to make toys.
When Kris is an adult, he realizes there is no one to give all the toys they've made to, so he takes them over the hills and into town.
But Burgermeister Herr Meisterburger has just recently outlawed toys, claiming toys are "illegal, immoral and unlawful'.
