The story: As a child, Liz did nothing but starve, live in filth and watch as her parents spent every dime the family had on drugs.
There was just no escape for young Liz.
The one thing she did have was a brilliant mind, but she never went to school.
After watching her mother slowly kill herself after learning she had Aids, Liz decides that she doesn't want to be a dummy.
She wants to go to school and learn as much as she possibly can.
Liz does just that, with very minimal help from any family member.
