The story: Kayla is a 15-year-old whose divorced parents dote on her.
Her mother is dropping her off at her dad's.

Dad is to take Kayla along to a scheduled ballet retreat she has been putting off.
Kayla and her dad are now on their way to the retreat when they see Kayla's best friend Britney at a bus stop.
Britney gets in the car with them, as she is also going to the retreat.
Soon, Britney asks if they can stop so she can go to the bathroom.

Kayla's dad stops and lets the girls out on the side of the road.
When they are taking too long, he goes looking for them.
On a bridge over an icy river in the woods, he finds Kayla distraught, sitting on the edge.
She claims Britney fell over.
Dad panics and runs back to the car to call 911. That's when Kayla mentions that she pushed Britney...
Now, dad is rethinking the whole thing.
They cannot go to the police now that Kayla has admitted her guilt.
There is no way she will be able to lie and say it was all just an accident...
