The story: Florence is the young, sweet personal assistant to a busy family of four who is going off to Vietnam.
She is told her bosses brother, Roger - who recently got out of a mental institution, will be staying at their house.
Soon after Roger arrives Florence makes an appearance to check on the dog, during which Roger gives her a list of things he could use at the store.
While Roger is constantly bored because any and all of his old chums in town are all far too busy with their own lives for him, he decides to call Florence.
Roger calling Florence then begins happening on a regular basis.
He does like her but, Roger feels that he is always only using her because being with her isn't exactly what he wants to be doing...
