The story: It is 1993 in London.
Danny is a writer for a popular magazine although he has been out of work for some time due to his alcoholism.
Working on his sobriety now the magazine is willing to give him another chance.
His current assignment has him traveling to Los Angeles to do two interviews.
One with writer Gore Vidal and the other, with actor Herve' Villechaize...
Danny is not thrilled about either interview but is forced to do them if he wants to keep his job.
The first interview he conducts is with Herve', who Danny does not take seriously at all.
Before rushing off for his next interview, Herve' suggests Danny meet up with him again later, for a great story.
The interview with Vidal does not happen because Danny is late so he decides to meet up with Herve'.
Danny spends the rest of the night getting to know Herve' and his pretty amazing life story.

By the guidance of her pastor, it is straight to a Christian conversion camp for "SSA" (Same-Sex Attraction) kids.
Everyone staying there is around Cameron's age and against her aunts' wishes Cameron is forced, like all the other attendees to stay there.
Everyone seems to be trying their best to convert back to straight but as Cameron learns, converting isn't a conscious choice.

Just when she is ready to end the show she finds a very interesting ad that she answers.
Sara goes to meet Aaron who tells her that he is a serial killer.
He wants to make a video of a different sort this time around and explains that he didn't hire her to kill her, like all the other people who answered his ads.
Sara believes this will be the best thing for Encounters and even though she thinks its all super crazy, she stays on.
But Aaron takes a real liking to her , which changes his plans.

He recently answered an ad for a one day job to record the last message from a man named Josef.
After arriving but getting no answer at the door, on the phone and unable to leave a voicemail, Aaron waits in his car...
While doing so he is scared half to death by Josef, who is overly eager and happy to see him.
Josef quickly invites Aaron inside the house, which he tells him all about.
Then he proceeds to tell him that he is dying but has a child on the way that he wants to make a video for.
The next thing Aaron knows, he is in the bathroom with Josef because he wants to take a "tubby"...
Yes, this is odd but Aaron is working you see.
Actually, everything that Josef does in Aarons's presence is odd but he carries on.
Later on, after dark Aaron is ready to hit the road but Josef insists he stay for a drink.
Aaron does but when it really is time to go, he cannot find his keys.
When Aaron finally makes it back home he believes he is rid of Josef for good.
Ha, but he isn't...

After signing on a money partner they quit their jobs and venture out to make their plan a reality.
But along the way, they run into quite a few snags that can easily break their mission into pieces.

Life with Judy Garland : Me and My Shadows (2001)

The story: Judy Garland started out as "Baby" Francis Gumm, the third and youngest daughter of vaudeville performers Frank and Ethel Gumm.
When she was old enough to walk she was singing.
Judy went on to perform on stage along with her sisters and by the time she was 14, her mother made sure to relocate the family to California where she was sure Judy would be found.
Ethel was right. Her young daughter had the gift of song and was soon signed to MGM.
Working making movies for a few years as well as going to school on their lot, Judy was finally accepted for a role in a major film.
Finally a role for a girl her age. But her weight was another story.
Work was always so grueling and diet pills began taking a toll on young Judy's life.
When she was finally almost fully in charge of her life and career she met flamboyant film director Vincente Minelli.
Soon the two married and when Judy learned she was with child , she gave up her pills.
When Vincente became distant, Judy picked up the addiction once more.
Soon after Judy was fired from MGM and free to do what she liked.
While out with a girlfriend one evening , Judy met charming , tough guy Sid Luft.
Quickly the two became lovers and she divorced Vincente.
Judy needed a manager and begged Sid to take the job.
She wanted to be on stage once again and out of movies.
Sid was just the guy to back that idea up.
The two seen many ups and downs together being married for 13 years and bringing up two more children.
But that didn't keep them together.
Shortly after leaving Sid Judy married tour promoter and record producer , Mark Herron and divorced Sid.
That only lasted 5 months.
Judy then began dating musician Mickey Deans.
After three years the two wed. But, within 4 months, Judy was dead.
In the end, all the pressures that Judy's life became were to blame for her early demise.

While Roger is constantly bored because any and all of his old chums in town are all far too busy with their own lives for him, he decides to call Florence.
Roger calling Florence then begins happening on a regular basis.
He does like her but, Roger feels that he is always only using her because being with her isn't exactly what he wants to be doing...

The result was Richard losing his hearing...
Back in civilian life, Richard was still writing and taught himself to read lips as a way to get by in everyday life.
As a result, he went on to work many jobs where no one even knew he was deaf.
After working for and with veterans who could not find jobs because of their disabilities, Richard was hired to write the first-ever manual for employers, training them on how to hire and work with people who have disabilities.

The story: Ray, wife Joanne, and daughter Peri are traveling via car to Joanne's parents' place for the holidays.
It isn't exactly going pleasantly as Ray and Joanne are arguing, but there is one thing they both agree on and that's anything for Peri.
When Peri needs batteries that Ray forgot at home and she also needs to use a restroom the family stop at the next roadside rest stop.
Joanne and Peri go to the restroom while Ray goes inside the store to get Joanne a drink and Peri some batteries.
When the girls return back to the car, Peri is worried as she cannot find her compact which she believes she took inside the restroom with her.
Joanne goes back inside to check for it.
Then Peri steps outside the car while Ray checks the backseat.
But while Peri is outside she gets distracted and begins wandering away.
When Ray finally notices what is going on he steps in to save Peri from a stray dog which now has her cornered.
But Peri falls. She is okay and conscious but Joanne and Ray agree she needs to see a doctor.
Ray explains he seen a sign for a hospital a couple miles back down the road and gets them there as fast as he can.
Peri is sent for some tests but only one parent is allowed to go with her so Joanne goes and Ray waits patiently for their return.
After hours go by though Ray begins thinking the hospital has done something sinister with his wife and daughter.

What Keeps You Alive (2018)

The story: Jackie has brought her wife Jules to her family's rustic house in the woods by a lake.
Shortly after arriving Sarah, a neighbor from across the lake shows up.
When Sarah realizes its Jackie at the house she is pleasantly surprised.
She was just checking things out due to recent break-ins.
But Sarah knows Jackie as Meagan...
This confuses and angers Jules because she believes Jackie hasn't been completely honest with her.
Jackie explains that she just isn't the person she used to be and likes her new name better.
After some sweet talk, Jules eventually accepts Jackie's story for what it is.
The next day Jules wakes to a voice mail from Jackie stating she went into town for some things and will be back later.
Jules decides to take the rowboat across the lake to visit with Sarah and while there, she learns Sarah and Jackie used to be close, along with another friend who past away.
This frightens Jules because she expects that Jackie would have mentioned that too!
When Jackie finally arrives back and Jules questions her about her friend that past, Jackie seems to be very affected by it all and breaks down.
But...Jules quickly finds out that's all just it's an act.

The Clovehitch Killer (2018)

The story: Every year, for the past 10 years, Boy Scout Tyler Burnside has attended a memorial, along with his family, for murder victims in the small community in which they live.
The killer is referred to as the Clovehitch Killer, due to knots that he ties with precise effort.
Tyler is a good kid, with upstanding parents that are involved in their church and Boy Scouts.
When he sneaks out of the house one night to pick up a girl from the church he likes in his dad truck, they find something inside the truck that makes Tyler look like someone he is not.
Tyler knows what they found is not his but actually his dad's, so he begins looking into his very private, locked up things.
But this only gives Tyler the creeps, as he finds things that he never would have guessed he'd find.
Now he is believing that his dad could very well be the Clovehitch Killer.

The two get together one night at a local pub.

When Nick returns he decides to leave.
Bryce stays with Cathy, taking her home with him.
Later on in the night, Nick gets an urgent phone call from Bryce, claiming that he really needs his help and it cannot wait.
Nick arrives at the house to find Bryce in a total panic.
It seems Cathy, the girl he brought home with him is claiming that she is going to go to the police and say he raped her...
Well, Bryce cannot have this. He cannot have any sort of criminal record because of his teaching job.
So he called Nick to help him figure things out.
Little does Bryce know though, Nick is in dire need of some really quick funds and, well, Bryce is quite possibly the answer to his dilemma.

Loretta's husband loved her singing so much he convinced her to do it in public.
The next thing Loretta knew, she was singing Patsy's current hit on the radio.
While in the hospital Patsy caught Loretta's performance and instantly sent for her.
Loretta, thinking Patsy would be angry about her singing her song was pleasantly surprised to find that Patsy was flattered.
This began a friendship between the two that seen many highs and lows.

One night they all get together, plan on getting some booze and partying.
But they need a buyer...
After one of the friends tries getting a buyer but has no luck the rest of the kids nominate Maggie.
On her second try, she almost gets let down once again but something changes the woman's mind and she buys liquor for them.
Then the woman gives them her phone number and insists that they all come to her house to have a safe place to party.
As good as this all seems, after a couple weird experiences, it's obvious that the helpful woman who insists they all call her "Ma", has some really bad intentions.
