The story : Jack is a serial killer but he wasn't always.
He wanted to be an architect but was persuaded to go into engineering by his mother.
Jack fancies himself an artist and his murders are expressions of his art.
He tells the story of five incidents , that occurred over a twelve year time period .
While his initial intention was to build himself a house , instead of finishing that project he perfects his skills at murder.
