The story : In 1980 , Tracey is a young woman living and working in Florida while being there for her beloved mother.
While at work , Tracey meets charming Buck and the two quickly become inseparable.
After a while it becomes apparent that Buck has a gambling problem , a bad temper and quite a few deep-rooted childhood issues...
Tracey , ever so caring and understanding , sticks by her man - believing above all she and Buck love each other.
When Buck arrives home from work one evening , Tracey surprises him with the news that she is pregnant.
This more than angers Buck and sets in motion a common occurrence...brutal domestic abuse on Tracey.
When the baby arrives , things do not get much better.
Tracey leaves and does the best she can to just stay away from Buck , always calling on the police for help although they never quite take her admissions seriously.
Buck just becomes more violent and demanding by the day until he attempts the thing he has been threatening for so long...
