A two-part made for TV movie, airing February 27th in the US.
Filmed entirely in California.
Based on some truths...
The story: In the late 60s, young brothers Brian, Dennis and Carl Wilson are living with their mom and dad who just happen to be great lovers of music.
Dad works, selling songs he has written to tv shows.
Carl and Brian are putting much thought into starting a band and doing some kind of recording.
Dennis can't be bothered, wanting nothing to do with any of it.
But when their dad gets them a favor to do some recording at a friend's studio, they all jump at the chance, making sure to get Dennis involved as well.
This is where it all begins. The group's new, happening songs become groundbreaking ones.
Success and popularity come into play pretty fast and easily.
Some legendary hits, family trouble, encounters with Charles Manson, musical differences, ego-tripping, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, life , death, super fame, and great fortune follow.
