Made for TV, airing March 8th in the US.
Filmed entirely in Canada.
The story: In 1976, the tv production company Spelling/Goldberg is looking to renew itself with a great idea for a new hit show.
After a bit of brainstorming, Mr. Spelling comes up with the idea of three policewomen who leave their line of work to become private investigators.
The company pitches the idea to ABC and gets the okay to make a pilot, but after a test showing of the pilot which doesn't go over well, ABC is more than hesitant to air it to the public.
After some persuasion and changes, ABC finally airs the pilot and the result is a fabulous one. Sending the show to the top of the ratings.
It doesn't hurt that the top model/actress of the time, Farrah Fawcett-Majors happens to be starring in the show.
