The story: A year out of high school and young Buddy Holly knows what he wants to do, perform his music.
It seems like everyone's against his so-called "be-bop" music.
Even his parents believe he is wasting his time.
But that won't stop him. Not much will.
Just when no one wants to play his music on the radio, he and his band are invited to Nashville to play for a record producer.
And when all the odds are against him, he pushes on and makes a name for himself and his music in this world.
