Martin and Lewis (2002)
Made for TV, airing on CBS, November 24th in the US.
Filmed entirely in Canada.
The story: In 1943, Jerry Lewis was a struggling comedian looking for a big break.
Dean Martin was a popular lounge singer who felt he needed to be a bit more popular.
The two played at the same clubs on the same bill a couple times, until they actually incorporated their acts.
Together, they were a hit.
Jerry was very interested in this duo. Dean saw himself as a single act.
Some years later, Jerry is at his careers stand still and he decides to phone up Deans' agent, asking to get the two of them together once again.
From that point on, the two were rolling in the dough, making films together, starring in their own comedy shows and still doing stand up.
The two made a name for themselves together, until parting ways in 1956.
