Miranda (1948)

Released April 20, 1949, in the US.
Filmed entirely in the UK.
The story: Dr. Paul Martin is planning on going on a fishing holiday.
But his wife, yea she doesn't exactly want to go - so he goes alone!
Well, no sooner is he out on the open water, casting off his first line, he is wanked into the ocean by none other than a mermaid.
Yep! That's right folks.
This mermaid, who goes by the name Miranda - is looking for a man for herself.
Everyone else has one so why can't she?
But the Dr. is a landlubber and he isn't planning on leaving his wife anytime soon, not even for an incredible, beautiful, young mermaid.
So Miranda bargains with the Dr., he can go back on land, if he takes her along.
