The story : Maggie is a woman who would like to meet someone , fall in love , get married and have a baby.
But things aren't really working out. She has been looking into freezing her embryos in case she doesn't get the chance she hopes for , before she's too old.
Her work as a journalist for a local newspaper has recently let her down as well.
Due to new management , she is forced to take a pay cut , getting paid only per article while working from home.
Now , completely isolated , Maggie decides maybe she should try her hand at adopting a dog.
At the shelter she finds what appears to be the perfect pooch for her.
After taking him home and bonding with her new pet who she names Reuben, Maggie realizes she did make the right choice.
Only one problem , if someone does Maggie dirty , Reuben will see to it that they learn a lesson...
