The story: Actor Nicola Nocella is said to be hired to play the part of Lucio Fulci in a movie about his life.
Nicola knows nothing of Fulci or where to start to become him.
He is advised by his director to interview those who were close to him and knew him well to figure out his role.
By speaking to friends and family who worked closely with the director and help keep his memory alive, Nicola learns (along with us) that by 1981, Lucio Fulci had directed 40 films.
He began his film career in the 50s.
Not only was Fulci a director of film but also the author.
He started out doing comedies, which spilled into westerns, thrillers, and then extremely gory horror but were always somehow inspired by his own life and experiences.
Fulci was a man of many vices, addictions, and self-destruction.
Known to be a difficult, deep-thinking intellectual perfectionist, always very unique but never actually getting the credit for his masterful work until after his death in 1996.
