The Best of Enemies (2019)
Released April 5th in the US.
Filmed entirely in Georgia.
Based on truths.
The story: 1971.
The KKK is rampant.
At the same time, an African American woman is constantly standing up for her civil rights in Durham, North Carolina.
When a fire takes down the African American children in towns' school, some people believe that segregating the White American school is the answer.
But of course, some others are adamantly against the idea.
To come to a fair, equal agreement, meetings of the townspeople along with the leader of the KKK, Claiborne Paul "CP" Ellis and Civil Rights Activist Ann Atwater is planned, unwillingly by the two people appointed to represent their "peoples" side.
During the course of a few weeks CP and Ann learn that regardless of what they have been raised to know, they are both just people who want the same things for their families and friends, coming to a public agreement and understanding that benefits everyone.
