The story: Young Julia is a very quiet, introverted, confused, abused and misunderstood girl being sent to live with a foster family.
But Julia just wants her mommy.
Unfortunately, Julias mom can't get it together which is why Julia is being placed.
While Julia is staying with her foster family, her foster brother and foster cousin happen to have a self-induced encounter with an itty bitty bunny rabbit out in the woods.
Julia takes an instant liking to the little bunny and it helps her come out of her shell, as she associates the bunny with a video of the Velveteen Rabbit, which reminds her of her mommy.
