The story: Doc Jenkins is a country singer/songwriter.
Doc has a couple buds he's been making music with most of his life, all under Doc's supervision and rules.
But when Doc takes a contract with a new manager, he drops his friends and goes on his solo way.
No hard feelings between the three friends and no one is getting rich.
Doc finds out through the grapevine that under his new contract, that he has no rights to his own songs and makes no money at all.
So he schemes a plan, with the help of his old pals.
Doc puts his music out under his own management with a different singer taking the credit.
Doc makes a lot of money this way and when his contract owner finds out about it... hey, maybe he'll trade Docs' writer contract for his new money-making superstar.
