Friday's Child AKA Age Out (2018)

The story: Richie has lived all of his childhood in and out of foster homes.
He currently resides at a children's home but before his 18th birthday which has just past, made the adult decision to move out and on his own.
He quickly gets a place of his own and goes out to find any work he can.
While riding the bus one night he meets Swim, whose intentions are anything but good.
Richie tries to do the right thing, but living on his own with very limited income is harder than he thought.
After one too many let downs and a lot of bad luck Richie turns to robbery but it doesn't end the way he planned it.
Now the police are after him because his landlord was murdered and he cannot steer clear of trouble because everywhere he goes, bad news Swim seems to find him.
Getting ready to leave town, Richie helps lonely, depressed Joan who seems his only hope for a path in the right direction and after some time, the two become close.
But when Joan finally tells Richie that her mother was murdered, Richie's guilt leads him in the only direction he believes' is left to go.

The story: Young Michael has just moved to a new town with his mother and father.
Although Michael is quiet and distant his parents are the complete opposite and try very hard to fit.
Day after day Michael sees more and more off behavior from his parents, which he just does not understand.
Dinner is a big deal at their house and one day Michael questions what they are eating.
When he is told leftovers, he then wants to know what the leftovers were from, seeing how they seem to have been eating leftovers every day since they moved to their new home.
Without any straight answers, Michael is left to investigate his parents to find out what is really going on.
What he learns for a fact turns his stomach!

When she gets off her Canadian flight in New York she gets spooked.
Thinking quickly, Lisa hands the doll off to a man who she's never met but was on the same flight as her and off she goes.
The man she gave the doll to is a photographer named Sam who is married to sweet Suzy who has recently lost her sight.
When Lisa goes looking for the doll later at Sam's apartment she cannot find it.
Nor can the guy she was trying to avoid.
This causes Lisa's murder, as well as putting Suzy's life in danger.

The story: Mrs. Eve White has been having some trouble lately.
Her husband takes her to a new doctor Dr. Luther, a man their regular doctor sends them to see.
Apparently, Eve has been having terrible headaches, that appear out of nowhere and then, she finds herself having, "spells."
The spells involve Eve doing and saying things she does not remember at all.
After speaking with Eve alone, the doctor comes to the very rare conclusion that she is suffering from multiple personality disorder.
Rare because at the time, no doctors have really experienced such a case but Eve's doctor does not deny that she has the disorder.
As soon as the doctor and Eve believe they are gaining progress, she has another spell which causes much harm to her sanity and home life.
It is up to Dr. Luther to work closely with Eve and get to the basis for the reason of her disorder.

The story: It 's 1984.
Billy is an eleven-year-old boy who lives with his widowed father, his older brother and his granny.
Billy is usually the only one around the house with high spirits, well except for granny.
His dad and brother are currently on strike from their work at the British coal mines and that makes for a pretty hostile environment at home.
Billy attends boxing lessons and he thinks he's pretty good at it but it isn't really what he's been cut out for.
While practicing one day, Billy sees a ballet class going on in the next room.
Something inside Billy makes him want to dance and soon he finds himself a part of that dance class.
Billy begins really liking dancing but his father and brother definitely do not approve.
When Billy's dance teacher decides that he has the spirit to audition for the Royal Ballet School, she offers to train him for free.
But Billy will have to prove to his father and brother that dancing is what he was born to be doing.

Rover Dangerfield (1991)

The story: Rover is a dog who lives in Las Vegas and loves everything about it.
When his owner goes on vacation, her boyfriend decides to get rid of Rover once and for all.
Rover is saved from drowning by two men fishing and the next thing he knows, he wakes up in a place he's never been before.
He finds that he is now on a farm!
While running through a cornfield, Rover is then picked up and saved once again by a farmer and his young son, Danny.
Danny takes a liking to Rover and even though they already have a bunch of dogs, Danny convinces his dad to keep him.
Rover doesn't plan on sticking around and wants to go back home but he does his best at adjusting while he's there, even though he does cause a lot of trouble around the farm.

One day, not different than any other, nice, regular, awkward guy Neil realizes he has the power to do whatever he wants.
At first, he is totally confused and learns that he must use the correct wording on making his wishes into a reality.
But once he gets the hang of it he uses the powers to do some really amazing things.
Only most of the things Neil makes happen are in fact pretty self-centered.

The story: Brothers Alex and Edward Van Halen began playing drums and guitar at a very early age.
By the time they were 15 and16 they had their own three-man band and were playing shows.
David Lee Roth began singing in his own band.
Alex and Edward eventually saw the stage presence David had and wanted him to front their band.
Then they discovered amazing bassist Michael Anthony and wanted him to join their band, he joined.
David Lee Roth decided that the best name for their new band would be Van Halen and it worked for them.
Soon the group was playing any and all gigs they could, exposing them to many.
They were known to play many covers and slowly began bringing their own original music into their shows.
They were very popular everywhere they played in their hometown of Pasadena.
When they met Gene Simmons of Kiss, he wanted to help them get signed.
So the band made a demo but anything Simmons tried fell through, and the band waited for yet another opportunity.
Before they knew it they were signed to Warner Brothers and their first album was released.
It shot them into instant stardom and the band knew their destiny was to be giant rock stars.

Brian Kuh was the all-time, undisputed champion of Donkey Kong.
But sometime in the 90s, very talented man of all trades Steve Wiebe decided he could beat Brian's score and be the new champion of Donkey Kong.

Oh , God! Book II (1980)

The story: Tracy is a young girl who lives with her divorced mother.
Today she is going to the customary dinner and a movie with her advertising dad.
After explaining to her dad about things like God, while protesting her choice in SciFi movies, he goes to make a phone call.
Tracy opens a fortune cookie to find a message, from God, to meet him in the lounge...
Tracy shrugs it off as a joke by her dad and opens another cookie, only to find another message urging her to go to the lounge.
Tracy goes and inside the lounge, gets greeted by the voice of God.
She believes it's just another of her father's jokes and doesn't exactly take any of it seriously.
That is until Tracy and her dad are on their way to the movies.
Dad stops in at work to pick something up and while Tracy waits in the car, she is then visited, in person, by God...
He explains to Tracy, that because he knows she believes in him and he could use her help on earth, he has picked her to promote him.
Tracy believes its a fun idea and gets right to work.
But after some time and things just don't go like Tracy planned, things take a turn for the worst.

Gabriel is convinced he can make an escape as well but he must avoid being suspected as one of the known, town rebellious terrorists.

The story: At the Buddi doll factory a man gets canned for daydreaming.
Before he is to leave he must finish the doll he's working on and be on his way.
The man is working on the security protocols with the Buddi dolls and decides to shut them all off on his last creation.
Then he packs up the doll nice and neat for shipment and off it goes.
In another place, lonely young Andy lives with his single mom.
She works hard to make a life for herself and Andy but it's hard.
When a woman at the department store that Andy's mom works at returns a Buddi doll, claiming it has a malfunction, Andy's mom makes sure to take the doll home to Andy.
At first, Andy isn't thrilled about his new best friend until the end, but after a short time, he takes a liking to the doll.
The only problem is, Andy's new best friend will stop at nothing and let no one between the two of them, even if it means killing people.

The story: Donna Thompson was a news reporter for channel 33 news.
While doing a routine story on the 4th of July festivities in popular Claridge, Maryland on the Chesapeake Bay she witnessed something horrifying.
The people celebrating the holiday at the bay began turning up deathly ill, showing signs of blistered skin and general illness.
Soon the symptoms became even more serious and traumatic, causing a panic.
Little did any of these people realize at the time, the sickness came from overly high levels of contamination in every drop of water around the bay area, that two scientists had discovered and reported months prior.

The Maid's Room (2013)

The story: Mr. and Mrs. Crawford have recently decided to hire young Columbian Drina as their live-in maid for the Summer.
They explain the expected duties and that they won't be around most of the time but are allowing their underage son Brendan to stay at the house before he is off to college.
The Drina was told that Brendan is a good kid but she sees him having his friends over, getting drunk and sleeping late.
Then, one evening Drina is awakened by Brandon.
She pretends she is asleep when he calls for her and then she hears him throwing up.
The next morning she sees his car. He was in an accident.
When she goes to clean up she notices blood...
Sometime later, Mr. and Mrs. Crawford return home.
When they see Brendan's car in the garage where it shouldn't be they realize he was in an accident.
He tells his parents that he hit a deer.
But later on, when Drina is thought to be not around Brendan tells the real story.
Mrs. Crawford catches Drina listening in on Brendan and Mr. Crawford's conversation and the couple quickly decide to pay Drina off to get rid of her and keep her mouth shut.
But Drina isn't having any of that.

Shannon lives on her own and doesn't see much of her mother and sisters but often helps out financially when she can.
When Mari runs into some money trouble she calls on Shannon for help.
Shannon gladly offers her assistance and asks if she can come home, which Mary gladly welcomes.
That evening Shannon doesn't show and Mary just blows it off.
But the next day, people are calling looking for Shannon.
Mari goes to speak with Shannon's live in boyfriend who claims he hasn't seen her since the night she last talked to Mari.
But he is convinced she would have come home had something not happened to her.
Mari goes to the police but they don't take her seriously.
She later finds out that the night Shannon went missing she called the police for help.
This sets into effect Mari conducting her own investigation never relenting to find out where her daughter is.

The story: Haley is a swimmer attending college in Florida.
One morning after practice she gets a call from her older sister Beth who now lives in Boston.
She informs Haley about the hurricane, which is all over the news.
Beth also tells her that she has been trying to get a hold of their dad but he isn't answering his phone.
She would like Haley to go and check up on him, no matter if she wants to or not.
Haley is pretty close with her dad but hasn't seen him in some time so she decides to do the right thing and go find him.
When she finally does find him, he is unconscious in the crawlspace of his home.
Haley attempts to get her father to safety when she is stopped by the danger of being attacked by alligators.

Joe's Apartment (1996)

The story: Joe has just arrived via bus from Iowa to New York.
He has big hopes for living and working in New York.
Right away though he doesn't have much luck.
He gets robbed of everything he owns and he can't find an apartment he can afford.
There is one thing that brightens Joe's world though, a girl named Lily that he hasn't even met yet.
After meeting a local artist Joe is advised that he won't ever find an apartment in his price range.
The only way that would be possible is if say, his mother died and left him her apartment.
Just then, a woman from the neighborhood drops dead right in front of them and Joe happens to catch her keys.
Lucky break for Joe but little does he realize he will now be living with an overwhelming amount of unwavering cockroaches and dealing with two bullies who will try anything to get him out of the building so their boss can tear it down and build a prison in its spot.

The story: May is a young woman with a lazy eye which has always made her very awkward.
As a little girl, her eye made it hard for her to make friends so for one of her birthdays, her
mother gave her the first doll she ever made, claiming if you cannot find friends, make them...
May has recently been fitted for contacts which will fix her eye.
She is very excited because there is this guy she's been watching and plans on meeting.
May finally meets the guy of her dreams and the two quickly become friends.
But when they get romantic things go really badly and the guy soon wants nothing to do with May.
Then she befriends her co-worker but when she feels betrayed by her she loses it.
As a last resort to try and make some sincere friends, May tries her hand at working with blind children, to which she introduces her doll.
But when the kids are cruel and break the doll May really goes off the deep end.
All these bad experiences have made May a lot stronger and harder but in a really bad way.
May decides that, if she cannot have one whole friend, she will make one using only the good parts of each of the people who won't be her friends...

The Dead Don't Die (2019)

The story: There's something strange going on in the sleepy town of Centerville.
First people's pets go missing or begin acting oddly.
Then people's watches and cell phone stop working.
Some people catch the news reports of the Earth changing its spinning direction, being off its axis.
This is said to be the direct effect of polar fracking and as some realize later, quite possibly the cause of the dead in Centerville being reanimated.

Oh , God! (1977)

The story: Jerry is a happily married, father of two who works as an assistant manager at a local grocery store.
He is very good at his job and takes it quite seriously.
One evening while getting ready for bed Jerry opens an anonymous letter addressed to him.
The letter explains that Jerry has a before noon interview with God the next day...
Confused, Jerry takes the letter as a joke and tosses it away.
Awakened before the morning though, Jerry finds the letter he tossed into the trash now under his head...
The next day while dealing with his boss at the grocery store, Jerry finds the interview letter once again, this time in a head of lettuce.
He finally takes this as a hint that he can no longer ignore and immediately sets out for the interview.
Apparently, God has hand-picked Jerry for the job of messenger , to pass on some very important knowledge to the human race for him.
