At the same time in California, young Tommy Lee couldn't be living a more different life.
Family is where it's at for Tommy. Family and music.
One night after seeing a favorite band play he sees the bands bassist, who happens to be Nikki Sixx at a local restaurant and decides to talk to him.

Then, to find their frontman.
Tommy takes the guys to a house party where high school friend Vince is singing in a cover band.
Tommy gives Vince their demo , asking him to check it out and join them.
Very soon Vince is in and before they know it they are playing their own original music at all the local clubs under the badass name of Motley Crew.
