The story : In the late 1950s , Evelyn Ryan is a wife and mother of ten children.
Evelyn works hard to keep her house running and her family well , while her husband is constantly having his wits tested by over-spending and stress.
Evelyn has a knack for writing winning jingles for various contests and for the next ten or so years of her life , continues to write and win in hopes of keeping her large family afloat.
