The story: Charlie Halliday is a cocky war vet who pilots charter planes for a living.
On a routine flight to drop off some goods, Charlie is met by a family in desperate need of his help.
A young girl is very ill and needs him to fly her to a hospital.
At first, Charlie refuses, but after some bargaining, he decides to take her along.
While on his way back home, he takes a detour and ends up having plane trouble.
The two get stranded and cannot be found due to the fact that Charlie was not on his regular path.
Now the two fight the odds to survive, learning many things from each other along the way.
