So, the maker of this film made his movie through the eyes, point of view and words of the 16-year-old (at the time of the crimes), accomplice - James "Jamie" Vlassakis. A lot of the scenes were filmed at the actual homes where the murders had taken place and the cast - many an Adelaide, South Australia local.
This is said to be the most heinous of crimes Australia has ever seen which went on from 1992 until 1999, also being referred to in the press as the 'Bodies in Barrels murders'.

The story: Jamie is a young boy who is living with his confused mom, her many kids and a few others in a halfway house of sorts.
When Jamie and his younger siblings are found to have been photographed nude by their mom's next-door neighbor boyfriend, the rest of the neighborhood basically goes ape shit.
The neighbors all get together, routinely - to talk about the local child molesters, gay men, and pedophiles in the area and what should be done about them.
Soon, mom hooks up with yet another one of these neighbors, only this guy has a mean rooted vengeance that mom and the kids don't know about - for anyone he sees unfit to be living. The new good guy/beau becomes Jamie and his younger siblings' new best bud and male role model.
After a while, it looks as if that wasn't as much of a good idea as it seemed.
