This is the little-known tale, documenting how Marilyn Monroe had - once upon a time, dropped her movie management - 20th Century Fox and went on to produce a company along with a longtime friend, confidant and personal photographer - Milton Green.
Running off around the Christmas holiday season with Milton from California to New York City to hide out from her public, they went there with high hopes.
Their intention was to start their own movie production company - Marilyn Monroe Pictures. Being a sole vehicle for Miss Monroe to put out movies with her playing serious roles in them.
Many troubles ensued and the company only put out one very well made film.
The brilliant idea and company were very short-lived due to many complications and broken relationships.
Here we get to see what all that commotion was indeed about, through interviews with Marilyn, Milton, people who knew Marilyn, never before seen home movies and public announcements.
